Former Frankie Goes to Hollywood frontman turned solo artist, Holly Johnson is a legend in my eyes - from his cool extravagance in the videos to Two Tribes and Relax to his sweet soothing tones in The Power of Love - for me he was FGTH and they were the 80s.
So it filled me with much excitement to hear that Holly was headlining the Rewind Festival this year, after what seemed like a lifetime since he last performed live in the UK. Sadly, I couldn't make it to the festival, but was happy to find some really nice shots of his performance (see here), and various amateur footage on YouTube.
It's unlikely he will reform with FGTH any time soon, but I've heard rumours of some new solo material in the near future, so it looks as if he is set to continue to make this world a good place to be.
