Track of the Week: Noah and the Whale - L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N

Although more folk driven than synth, Noah and the Whale's latest track L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N has been my most played of the week, so deserves to be included here.

The fact that it bears more than a passing similarity to The Kinks' 1970 track Lola (which incidentally is my second most played track of the week), is a major factor in making L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N more upbeat and catchier than most previous Noah and the Whale tracks (although, I can imagine singing the chorus is nigh on impossible when even the slightest bit tipsy).

It currently sits at #37 in the UK singles charts, and while maybe not being the best song of the month, it does deserve to be at least top #20 [Update: it's now #30].
